HFCL has bagged purchase order worth Rs 196 crore received from Larsen & Toubro for supply of optical fibre cables.
In an exchange filing made after market hours yesterday, the manufacturer of optical fiber cables announced, the company has received the purchase order (PO) worth Rs 196 crore from Larsen & Toubro (L&T) for supply of optical fibre cables (OFC) for construction of Telangana fiber grid (T-Fiber) by them under Bharat Net Phase-II Programme of the Government of India, in the State of Telangana.
BharatNet Programme forms one of the Key Pillars of Digital India Program. It is a project of national importance, envisage to connect & provide broadband connectivity at around 2,50,500 Gram Panchayats in the country.
The order is to executed within 12 months from the date of purchase order with vendor finance scheme payment terms.
HFCL is a leading manufacturer of optical fiber cables, optical transport, power electronics and broadband equipment for the telecommunication industry.
Shares of HFCL ended 3.20% lower at Rs 12.71 in yesterday's session.
