Hi-Tech Gears jumped 8.59% to Rs 285.60 at 14:41 IST on BSE, after a bulk deal of 3.77 lakh shares was executed on the scrip at Rs 275 per share at 09:44 IST on BSE today, 7 December 2015.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 89.02 points, or 0.35%, to 25,549.09
Bulk deal boosted volume on the scrip. On BSE, so far 4.62 lakh shares were traded in the counter compared with the average daily volume of 2,488 shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 296.80 and a low of Rs 265 so far during the day. The stock had hit a record high of Rs 378 on 19 February 2015. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 219 on 17 December 2014.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 4 December 2015, sliding 7.1% compared with 3.45% decline in the Sensex. The scrip had also underperformed the market in past one quarter, declining 3.73% as against Sensex's 1.73% rise.
The small-cap auto ancillary firm has an equity capital of Rs 18.77 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
