Hindalco Industries Ltd lost 3.77% today to trade at Rs 182.45. The S&P BSE Metal index is down 2.19% to quote at 8730.74. The index is up 5.84 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, National Aluminium Company Ltd decreased 3.06% and Vedanta Ltd lost 2.48% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went down 36.24 % over last one year compared to the 6.1% surge in benchmark SENSEX.
Hindalco Industries Ltd has added 2.38% over last one month compared to 5.84% gain in S&P BSE Metal index and 4.4% rise in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 87796 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 2.81 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 259.7 on 04 Oct 2018. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 171.25 on 26 Aug 2019.
