Hindalco Industries Ltd rose 1.67% today to trade at Rs 542.7. The S&P BSE Metal index is up 0.9% to quote at 19883.88. The index is up 4.73 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Tata Steel Ltd increased 1.16% and Jindal Steel & Power Ltd added 0.98% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went up 44.94 % over last one year compared to the 12.31% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

On the BSE, 41305 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 3.1 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 553.85 on 11 Feb 2022. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 305.4 on 25 Mar 2021.
