The Hong Kong stock market finished session lower on Thursday, 25 January 2018, halting a seven-day winning streak, as some investors took profit on tracking weakness in the Mainland China A- shares. The Hang Seng Index ended down 0.9%, or 304.24 points, at 32,654.45. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index, or the H-shares index, also fell for the first time in 20 sessions, ending down 1.7%, or 232.77 points, to 13,388.16. The sub-index of the Hang Seng tracking energy shares rose 1.1% while the IT sector dipped 2.05%, the financial sector was 1.58% lower and property sector rose 0.14%.
