Overall crude oil production dips 0.9% in April-June 2015
India's crude oil production declined 0.7% to 3.101 million tonnes (mt) in June 2015 over June 2014, in addition to 1% fall recorded in June 2014. Crude oil output of ONGC rose 0.2% to 1.854 mt, but that of Oil India declined 2.4% to 0.271 mt. The crude oil production of private and joint venture (JV) companies also fell 1.7% to 0.976 mt.ONGC's offshore output improved 3.1% to 1.381 mt, but onshore production continued to dip at 7.5% to 0.473 mt.
Crude oil output declined 0.9% to 9.306 mt in the first three month of the fiscal year ended March 2016 (April-June 2015), in addition 0.1% decline recorded in the corresponding period of last year. Output of private companies slipped 4.8% to 2.9 mt, while that of Oil India rose 0.2% to 0.837 mt and ONGC 1.2% to 5.569 mt in April-June 2015 over April-June 2014.
