India's fuel product consumption up 1.7% in April-September 2019

India's fuel product consumption or sales fell 0.1% to 16.01 mt in September 2019 over a year ago. The consumption of ATF declined 1.7% to 0.67 mt, naphtha 26.1% to 0.84 mt, diesel 3.3% to 5.83 mt, kerosene 37.6% to 0.18 mt, bitumen 7.2% to 0.34 mt and fuel oil 3.8% to 0.53 mt in September 2019.

However, LPG sales improved 6.0% to 2.18 mt, petcoke 18.0% to 1.74 mt and petrol 6.2% to 2.37 mt. Further, the consumption of others also moved up 9.5% to 0.94 mt, light diesel oil (LDO) 34.8% to 0.06 mt and lubes/greases 4.9% to 0.33 mt.

 

Consumption or sales of fuel products rose 1.7% to 105.74 mt in April-September 2019 over April-September 2018. Sales of LPG increased 4.1% to 12.55 mt, petrol 9.1% to 15.30 mt and others 15.9% to 6.01 mt. Consumption of diesel also gained 1.1% to 41.34 mt, bitumen 5.2% to 2.98 mt, LDO 15.9% to 0.32 mt and petcoke 0.2% to 10.90 mt.

However, the consumption of ATF declined 3.1% to 3.97 mt, naphtha 10.3% to 6.10 mt, kerosene 22.3% to 1.39 mt, fuel oil 4.6% to 3.09 mt and lubes/greases 7.1% to 1.79 mt in April-September 2019.
