Fuel product consumption rises 2.5% in April-November 2018
India's fuel product consumption or sales declined 1.8% to 17.27 million tonnes (mt) in November 2018 over a year ago. LPG sales dipped 7.8% to 1.84 mt, diesel 4.8% to 6.92 mt, bitumen 15.3% to 0.52 mt and pet coke 2.3% to 1.86 mt. The consumption of fuel oil also declined 7.2% to 0.50 mt, kerosene 11.6% to 0.28 mt, lubes/greases 7.5% to 0.32 mt and light diesel oil (LDO) 12.0% to 0.05 mt. However, the consumption of ATF improved 5.1% to 0.68 mt, others 16.0% to 0.78 mt, naphtha 10.3% to 1.21 mt and petrol 8.8% to 2.32 mt in November 2018.Consumption or sales of fuel products has increased 2.5% to 138.93 mt in April-November 2018 over April-November 2017. Sales of others fuel products increased 26.5% to 6.65 mt, diesel 2.5% to 54.75 mt, petrol 7.3% to 18.68 mt, naphtha 12.4% to 9.31 mt and LPG 4.9% to 15.96 mt. Consumption of ATF moved up 10.4% to 5.47 mt, bitumen 14.8% to 3.92 mt, lubes/greases 9.0% to 2.58 mt and LDO 21.4% to 0.37 mt. However, the consumption of fuel oil declined 5.6% to 4.29 mt, kerosene 10.0% to 2.35 mt and petcoke 18.2% to 14.60 mt in April-November 2018.
