Consumption/sales of fuel product increased 3.2% to 67.76 mt in April-August FY2015
India's fuel product consumption/sales rose 0.9% to 12.58 mt in August 2014. The consumption increased for LPG by 8.5% to 1.44 mt, petrol 7.9% to 1.6 mt and diesel 1.5% to 5.13 mt in August 2014. Sales of bitumen surged 13.8% to 0.16 mt, while those of ATF improved 5.6% to 0.46 mt in August 2014. Further, sales moved up for petcoke by 0.2% to 0.99 mt.On the other hand, the sales of naphtha dipped 7.6% to 0.94 mt, while those of fuel oil also fell 12.5% to 0.51 mt in August 2014. The fuel products sales also declined for kerosene 1.4% to 0.59 mt, light diesel oil 28.5% to 0.03 mt, lubes 9.4% to 0.23 mt and other products 8.3% to 0.49 mt in August 2014.

The sales increased for products such as petrol 8.3%, petcoke 10%, and LPG 9.6%. Consumption of diesel also moved up 1.6%, while improved for naphtha 0.3%, ATF 3.9% and bitumen 11.5%. However, the sales declined for fuel oil 9%, kerosene 1.6% and others 1.5% in April-August FY2015.
