Cumulative fuel product sales up 4.8% in April-July 2018
India's fuel product consumption or sales increased 7.4% to 17.06 mt in July 2018 over a year ago. Naphtha sales jumped 60.7% to 1.14 mt, diesel 4.9% to 6.61 mt, petrol 7.8% to 2.31 mt, LPG 6.0% to 2.04 mt and bitumen 52.9% to 0.32 mt. The consumption of ATF also improved 12.7% to 0.67 mt, petcoke 2.0% to 2.24 mt, lubes/greases 10.4% to 0.31 mt and light diesel oil (LDO) 10.2% to 0.04 mt. However, the consumption of fuel oil declined 2.5% to 0.52 mt, kerosene 7.9% to 0.29 mt and others 11.6% to 0.56 mt in July 2018.Consumption or sales of fuel products increased 4.8% to 70.71 mt in April-July 2018 over April-July 2017. Sales of diesel increased 3.8% to 28.64 mt, petrol 8.2% to 9.43 mt, LPG 8.7% to 7.89 mt, naphtha 16.4% to 4.28 mt, and bitumen 20.1% to 2.30 mt. Consumption of ATF moved up 12.5% to 2.74 mt, lubes/greases 8.1% to 1.19 mt, others 3.2% to 2.48 mt and LDO 29.0% to 0.19 mt. However, the consumption of kerosene declined 12.0% to 1.20 mt, fuel oil 9.7% to 2.06 mt and petcoke 3.0% to 8.31 mt in April-July 2018.
