India's services exports decline 1.5% in August 2016

Services trade surplus narrows to US$ 5.33 billion in August 2016

As per the data released by the Reserve Bank of India, India's services exports declined 1.5% to US$ 13.38 billion in August 2016 over August 2015. On the other hand, India's services imports moved up 3.6% to US$ 8.05 billion in August 2016.

India's services trade surplus narrowed 8.3% to US$ 5.33 billion in August 2016 from US$ 5.81 billion in August 2015.

India's services trade surplus has declined 4.6% to US$ 26.89 billion in April-August 2016 over a year ago, with 6.9% surge in services imports to US$ 38.96 billion. India's services exports rose mere 1.9% to US$ 65.85 billion in April-August 2016.
