INOX Leisure gains after commencing commercial operations at a multiplex in Rajasthan

INOX Leisure rose 1.64% to Rs 222.80 at 10:39 IST on BSE after the company said it has commenced commercial operations of a new multiplex cinema theatre in Rajasthan.

The company made the announcement on Saturday, 26 September 2015.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 22.13 points or 0.09% at 25,841.37.

On BSE, so far 9,515 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 80,265 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 225.80 and a low of Rs 222.80 so far during the day. The stock had hit a record high of Rs 269.60 on 19 August 2015. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 145 on 14 May 2015.

 

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 24 September 2015, gaining 1.76% compared with Sensex's 0.47% rise. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, surging 24.69% as against Sensex's 6.73% fall.

The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 96.46 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

INOX Leisure said it has commenced commercial operations of a new multiplex cinema theatre, taken on management contract basis, and located at Genesis Mall at Bhiwadi in Rajasthan. The multiplex cinema theatre has 4 screens and 750 seats.

On consolidated basis, INOX Leisure's net profit spurted 451.5% to Rs 25.26 crore on 51.9% growth in net sales to Rs 339.70 crore in Q1 June 2015 over Q1 June 2014.

INOX, along with Satyam Cineplexes, is now present in 55 cities with 101 multiplexes, 393 screens and a total seating capacity of 1,02,785 across India.
