Jagran Prakashan declines after weak Q3 results

Jagran Prakashan lost 1.5% to Rs 170.55 at 10:25 IST on BSE after consolidated net profit fell 11.1% to Rs 87.23 crore on 0.6% decline in net sales to Rs 598.07 crore in Q3 December 2017 over Q3 December 2016.

The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 30 January 2018.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 46.07 points or 0.13% at 35,987.66.

On the BSE, 3,964 shares were traded on the counter so far as against average daily volumes of 5,665 shares in the past two weeks. The stock had hit a high of Rs 172 and a low of Rs 170 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 208.55 on 18 April 2017 and a 52-week low of Rs 161 on 20 November 2017.

 

The company's consolidated advertisement revenue (revenue from print, radio and digital) declined 1.9% to Rs 439.04 crore in Q3 December 2017 over Q3 December 2016. Operating profit dropped 12.71% to Rs 162.86 crore.
