Japanese share market finished lower after range-bound trading on Monday, 12 May 2014, as weak earnings outlooks by influential companies and on caution before the release of fresh economic data slated for later in the week. Meanwhile, record low Japan's annual current account surplus data and geopolitical uncertainty over Ukraine also weighed on the market. The headline Nikkei index lost 0.35% to 14149.52, while the Topix index of all first section shares dropped 0.65% to 1157.91.
