The Japan share market finished session firmly higher on Thursday, 15 February 2018, as risk sentiments bolstered by tracking positive lead from Wall Street overnight. However, the yen's appreciation against the dollar weighed on the market's topside. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 280.46 points, or 1.33%, to 21,434.63. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, added 19.45 points, or 1.14%, to 1,722.17.
