Japan Stocks gains on upbeat Wall Street lead, weaker yen

Headline indices of the Japan share market inclined on Tuesday, 10 July 2018, on tracking the gains on Wall Street overnight and the relatively cheaper yen against the dollar. Total 26 out of 33 issues of the Topix index inclined, with shares in Oil & Coal Products, Nonferrous Metals, Marine Transportation, Insurance, Electric Appliances, Banks, and Securities & Commodities Futures being notable gainers. However, losses in shares of Electric Power & Gas, Foods, and Land Transportation issues capped gains. Around afternoon, the benchmark Nikkei 225 index added 0.85%, or 187.01 points, to 22,239.19. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, rose 0.67%, or 11.55 points, to 1,723.34.
