Jaypee Infratech drops after weak Q3 numbers

Jaypee Infratech lost 2.37% to Rs 18.55 at 11:31 IST on BSE after net profit declined 34.7% to Rs 101.18 crore on 5.9% growth in net sales to Rs 987.80 crore in Q3 December 2013 over Q3 December 2012.

The Q3 result was announced after market hours on Monday, 3 February 2014.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 177.28 points or 0.88% at 20,031.98.

On BSE, so far 76,000 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 4.89 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 19 and a low of Rs 18.10 so far during the day. The stock had hit a record low of Rs 14.45 on 28 August 2013. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 50.45 on 4 February 2013.

 

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 3 February 2014, sliding 16.3% compared with the Sensex's 3.08% fall. The scrip had however, outperformed the market in past one quarter, jumping 4.97% as against Sensex's 4.85% fall.

The company has equity capital of Rs 1388.93 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
