Turnover on NSE's F&O segment drops
The January 2016 futures on the 50-unit Nifty 50 index traded at 7983, at a premium of 19.80 points compared with Nifty's closing of 7963.20 in the cash market. Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures and options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 99134.75 crore from turnover of Rs 4.45 lakh crore registered during the previous trading session.
In the cash market, the Nifty rose 16.85 points or 0.21% to settle at 7,963.20, its highest closing level since 4 November 2015.
Reliance Infrastructure, Jet Airways (India), Reliance Capital, Reliance Communications and Tata Motors were the top traded individual stock futures contracts on the futures & options (F&O) segment of NSE.
Reliance Infrastructure January 2016 futures traded at 593.50, at a premium compared with the stock's spot closing of 591.50.
Jet Airways (India) January 2016 futures traded at 763.15, at a premium compared to spot closing of 758.25.

Reliance Capital January 2016 futures traded at 466, at a premium over the stock's spot closing of 463.
Reliance Communications January 2016 futures traded at 90.85, near spot closing of 90.20.
Tata Motors January 2016 futures traded at 404.25, at a premium over spot closing of 401.80.
The January 2016 F&O contracts are set to expire on 28 January 2016.
