Jindal Steel & Power surged 7.33% at Rs 256.85. The stock topped the gainers in 'A' group. On the BSE, 19.45 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 15.56 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Company spurted 7.03% at Rs 297. The stock was the second biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 15.81 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 6.75 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
Wockhardt jumped 6.62% at Rs 999. The stock was the third biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 4.87 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 2.93 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation gained 6.14% at Rs 1,704.60. The stock was the fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 56,000 shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 41,000 shares in the past two weeks.
Sobha rose 5.3% at Rs 636.95. The stock was the fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 2.60 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 30,000 shares in the past two weeks.
