Jindal Steel & Power Ltd lost 2.38% today to trade at Rs 104.7. The S&P BSE Metal index is down 1.75% to quote at 9096.6. The index is up 8.41 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, National Aluminium Company Ltd decreased 2.03% and Hindalco Industries Ltd lost 2% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went down 34.19 % over last one year compared to the 5.84% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

On the BSE, 1.21 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 17.54 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 236.95 on 24 Sep 2018. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 91.1 on 04 Sep 2019.
