Jindal Steel & Power Ltd fell 2.29% today to trade at Rs 145.35. The S&P BSE Metal index is down 1.06% to quote at 11014.96. The index is down 5.33 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Steel Authority of India Ltd decreased 1.72% and JSW Steel Ltd lost 1.56% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went down 30.49 % over last one year compared to the 3.61% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

On the BSE, 1.57 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 9.49 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 294.15 on 23 Jan 2018. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 140.8 on 10 Dec 2018.
