Jubilant Life Sciences rose 1.95% to Rs 337 at 14:58 IST on BSE after the company got ANDA approval for Zolmitriptan ODT Tablets, 2.5 mg and 5 mg, the generic version of Zomig-ZMT, which is used for acute treatment of migraine headaches in adults.
The announcement was made during market hours today, 18 September 2015.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 280.76 points, or 1.08%, to 26,244.73
On BSE, so far 2.34 lakh shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 3.36 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 344.80 and a low of Rs 332 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 373 on 28 August 2015. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 116.10 on 17 December 2014.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 16 September 2015, sliding 3.98% compared with 7.49% fall in the Sensex. The scrip also outperformed the market in past one quarter, gaining 96.23% as against Sensex's 2.71% decline.
The mid-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 15.93 crore. Face value per share is Re 1.
As on 30 June 2015, Jubilant Life Sciences had a total of 815 filings for formulations of which 389 have been approved in various regions globally. This includes 72 ANDAs filed in the US, of which 38 have been approved and 46 Dossier filings in Europe.
On a consolidated basis, Jubilant Life Sciences' net profit surged 2579.08% to Rs 128.06 crore on 1.5% decline in net sales to Rs 1438.38 crore in Q1 June 2015 over Q1 June 2014.
