From Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation
Larsen & Toubro announced that the power transmission and distribution business of L&T Construction has won a prestigious order in the Middle East Market from their reputed customer and key stakeholder, Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation 'KAHRAMAA' for its ongoing Qatar Electricity Transmission Network Expansion Plan Phase XII worth 494.45 million QAR (Rs. 864 crore) .The order encompasses the engineering, procurement and construction of two substation packages. The first package includes upgradation and strengthening of two 400 kV substations and the extension of a 132 kV substation while the second package is for the construction of four new 55 kV substations.
This is a repeat order from KAHRAMAA after Phases VIII, X, XI, XI-A and the two cabling packages under Phase XII.
