Former Bihar Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav was released from the jail today after the formalities for his release were completed. The Supreme Court (SC) had earlier on Friday granted bail to the RJD Chief. Lalu was inside the Ranchi jail since 30 Sept 2013 when a special CBI court convicted him in the multi-crore fodder scam.
As soon as the RJD chief stepped out of the Birsa Munda Central Jail, he hit out at social activist Anna Hazare saying that he wants to subvert courts by bringing in Lokpal. He also announced that he will travel across the country and strengthen his political base.
