Lanco Infratech surges as net loss narrows in Q1

Lanco Infratech was locked at 5% upper circuit at Rs 9.39 at 12:16 IST on BSE after the company posted a consolidated reported net loss of Rs 306.30 crore in Q1 June 2014, lower than net loss of Rs 578.80 crore in Q1 June 2013.

The Q1 result was announced on Saturday, 16 August 2014.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 131.32 points or 0.5% at 26,234.55.

On BSE, so far 17.72 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 25.81 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a low of Rs 9.20 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 14.94 on 23 May 2013. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 5 on 28 August 2013.

 

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 14 August 2014, sliding 9.96% compared with Sensex's 4.38% rise. The scrip had also underperformed the market in past one quarter, advancing 7.57% as against Sensex's 9.61% rise.

The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 240.78 crore. Face value per share is Re 1.

Lanco Infratech's consolidated gross revenue before eliminations declined 8% to Rs 2670 crore in Q1 June 2014 over Q1 June 2013. Adjusted EBITDA (ex forex) rose 7% to Rs 701.20 crore in Q1 June 2014 over Q1 June 2013.

Lanco Infratech's adjusted net worth stood at Rs 3855 crore at end June 2014.
