Lupin leads gainers in 'A' group

Drug maker Lupin rose 5.29% to Rs 434.65 on bargain hunting after the stock fell 12.68% in nine consecutive sessions to Rs 412.80 on 14 December 2011 from a recent high of Rs 472.75 on 30 November 2011. The stock topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group.

Restaurant chain operator Jubilant FoodWorks rose 4.55% to Rs 777.25 on bargain hunting after the stock fell 12.84% in six consecutive sessions to Rs 743.40 on 14 December 2011 from a recent high of Rs 852.95 on 5 December 2011. The stock was second biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals rose 4.49% to Rs 82.65 on bargain hunting after the stock fell 15.31% in six consecutive sessions to Rs 79.10 on 14 December 2011 from a recent high of Rs 93.40 on 5 December 2011. The stock was third biggest gainer in 'A' group.

 

Tata Power Company rose 4.09% to Rs 90.45 on bargain hunting after the stock fell 11.51% in four consecutive sessions to Rs 86.90 on 14 December 2011 from a recent high of Rs 98.20 on 8 December 2011. The stock was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Shares of Tata Power bounced back from a 52-week low of Rs 85 hit today (15 December 2011). The company's advance tax reportedly rose 33.33% to Rs 80 crore in Q3 December 2011 over Q3 December 2010.

Apollo Tyres rose 3.85% to Rs 63.35. The stock was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group.
