Mamata urges people not to leave Bengal for jobs

Asserting that her government was endeavoring to generate employment, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Wednesday urged people not to migrate to other states for jobs. Claiming her government was working tirelessly to implement developmental schemes and projects, Banerjee promised employment for the people as she urged them to take up jobs under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. The chief minister urged officials from various government departments to spend more time in the field listening to the problems of the people and warned them against keeping files pending for long.
