Maruti Suzuki India has restarted production of vehicles at its Haryana-based Manesar plant from today, 12 May 2020.
All activities would be carried out strictly in accordance with the Government regulations and guidelines and observing the company's own concern for the highest standards of safety, the automaker had said in a regulatory filing made on 6 May 2020.
The scrip was currently trading 1.65% lower at Rs 4,850.65. It has traded in the range of Rs 4,843.45 and Rs 4,929 so far during the day.
On 22 March 2020, Maruti Suzuki India had announced the shut down of production and office operations at its facilities in Gurugram and Manesar, Haryana on account of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The company reported zero sales in the domestic market during the month of April. However, following resumption of port operations at the Mundra port, the firm exported a shipment of 632 units of automobiles in April 2020.
Maruti Suzuki India's board meets tomorrow, 13 May 2020, to consider and approve the audited financial results for the quarter and the year ended 31 March 2020.
