Metropolis Healthcare advanced 4.15% to Rs 1655.85 after consolidated net profit jumped 34.8% to Rs 42.07 crore in Q3 December 2019 (Q3 FY20) over Q3 December 2018 (Q3 FY19).
Profit before tax in the December quarter stood at Rs 52.80 crore, up 16% from Rs 45.51 crore in Q3 last year. Net sales rose 17% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 222.85 crore in Q3 FY20. The result was announced after market hours yesterday.
EBITDA for Q3 FY20 stood at Rs 62.76 crore, up by 22.79% from Rs 51.11 crore reported in the same period last year. EBITDA margin in Q3 FY20 stood at 28.17% as compared to 26.84% in Q3 FY19.
Total expenses in the December quarter stood at Rs 159.29 crore, up by 12.4% from Rs 141.66 crore reported in the December quarter last year. Financing costs jumped to Rs 2.40 crore in Q3 FY20 as compared to Rs 0.19 crore in Q3 FY19. Depreciation costs almost doubled to Rs 10.56 crore in Q3 FY20 from Rs 5.30 crore in Q3 FY19.
Revenue per patient in Q3 FY20 is Rs. 923 as compared to Rs 898 in Q3 FY19, a YoY increase of 2.7%. The company's network as of Q3 FY20 consists of 125 laboratories and 2,781 patient service centers.
