Mid-Cap & Small-Cap stocks witness selling pressure

The BSE Mid-Cap and Small-Cap indices skidded by 1.64% to 3.66%, respectively at 13:40 IST on BSE, with both these indices registering higher fall than the Sensex's decline in percentage terms.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 83.03 points, or 0.34%, to 24,599.

The BSE Mid-Cap index was currently down 1.64%. The BSE Small-Cap index was currently down 3.66%. The decline in both these indices was higher than the Sensex's decline in percentage terms.

Among mid-cap stocks, IDBI (down 6.45%), Reliance Infrastructure (down 6.35%), SJVN (down 5.83%), Mphasis (down 5.69%) and Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals (down 5.35%) dropped.

Among small-cap stocks, Marksans Pharma (down 20%), GTL Infrastructure (down 15.36%), Fineotex Chemical (down 11.56%), GP Petroleums (down 14.12%) and Nectar Lifesciences (down 14.23%) dropped.
