MMTC leads gainers in 'A' group

BPCL, Hindustan Copper, Power Finance Corporation and South Indian Bank are among the other gainers.

Shares of a number of state-run companies surged on renewed buying. MMTC spurted 9.63% to Rs 52.35 and topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group.

BPCL galloped 7.25% to Rs 443.15 after hitting 52-week high of Rs 458.30 in intraday trade today, 13 March 2014. The stock was second biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Hindustan Copper jumped 6.79% to Rs 66.10. The stock was third biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Power Finance Corporation surged 5.49% to Rs 174.90 and was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group.

 

South Indian Bank rose 3.64% to Rs 22.80 and was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group.
