Monnet Ispat and Energy rises after company restarts operations

Earlier in June 2019, the company announced that it is planning to shutdown the plant for general maintenance for about 30 days.

Monnet Ispat & Energy in a regulatory filing after market hours yesterday informed that it has restarted its operations at Raigarh Plant, Chhattisgarh after necessary modifications to plant and machinery for manufacturing special steel products.

The integrated operations were restarted from 2 March 2020 after carrying out general maintenance of plant.

Shares of Monnet Ispat & Energy were trading 1.93% higher at Rs 13.20 on NSE. Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was trading 95.14 points or 0.27% lower at 38,519.35.

 

Monnet Ispat & Energy manufactures a range of steel products, ferro alloys and sponge iron. The company also produces power for captive consumption.
