Net inflow in the industry stood at Rs 1.03 lakh crore in August 2019
The net Assets under Management (AUM) of the mutual fund (MF) industry increased by 3.8% (by Rs 0.94 lakh crore) to Rs 25.48 lakh crore in August 2019 over July 2019.The average net AUM of the industry declined by 0.7% rise (by Rs 0.17 lakh crore) to Rs 25.64 lakh crore in August 2019 compared with July 2019.
Net inflow in the industry stood at Rs 1.03 lakh crore in August 2019, against net inflows of Rs 0.87 lakh crore in July 2019. Overall net inflows in the industry stood at Rs 207.26 lakh crore in April-August 2019.
The overall mutual fund folios increased 0.6% to 852.8 lakh end August 2019 over 848.0 lakh end July 2019.
AUM of the Income/Debt Oriented Schemes increased 7.9% (by Rs 96707 crore) to Rs 13.21 lakh crore in August 2019 over July 2019. Income/Debt Oriented Schemes registered a net inflow of Rs 89632 crore in August 2019. Net inflows in Income/Debt Oriented Schemes totaled to Rs 144968 crore in April-August 2019. The number of folios in the Income/Debt Oriented Schemes moved up 1.8% to 66.75 lakh end August 2019.
AUM of the Growth/Equity Oriented Schemes increased 0.0% (by Rs 95 crore) to Rs 7.16 lakh crore in August 2019 over July 2019. Growth/Equity Oriented Schemes registered a net inflow of Rs 9090 crore in August 2019, while net inflows in Growth/Equity Oriented Schemes totaled to Rs 33965 crore in April-August 2019. The number of folios in the Growth/Equity Oriented Schemes rose 0.7% to 615.82 lakh end August 2019.
AUM of the Hybrid Schemes increased 0.2% (by Rs 793 crore) to Rs 3.39 lakh crore in August 2019 over July 2019. Hybrid Schemes registered a net inflow of Rs 4947 crore in August 2019. Net inflows in Hybrid Schemes totaled to Rs 12853 crore in April-August 2019. The number of folios in the Hybrid Schemes increased 0.2% to 96.59 lakh end August 2019.

Solution Oriented Schemes registered a net inflow of Rs 144 crore in August 2019. Net inflows in Solution Oriented Schemes totaled to Rs 768 crore in April-August 2019. The number of folios in the Solution Oriented Schemes increased 0.0% to 53.85 lakh end August 2019.
AUM of the Other Schemes declined 2.3% (by Rs 3568 crore) to Rs 1.54 lakh crore in August 2019 over July 2019. Other Schemes registered a net outflow of Rs 1184 crore in August 2019. Net inflows in Other Schemes totaled to Rs 15441 crore in April-August 2019. The number of folios in the Hybrid Schemes declined 3.3% to 19.68 lakh end August 2019.
