National Aluminium Company fell 1.16% to Rs 51.05 at 10:08 IST on BSE after net profit fell 29.9% to Rs 172.45 crore on 0.63% decline in total income to Rs 1973.59 crore in Q4 March 2014 over Q4 March 2013.
The result was announced after market hours on Wednesday, 28 May 2014.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 78.97 points, or 0.32%, to 24,477.12.
On BSE, so far 2.84 lakh shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 5.56 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 52.65 and a low of Rs 50.20 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 60.30 on 26 May 2014. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 24.10 on 6 August 2013.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 28 May 2014, rising 30.10% compared with 8.50% rise in the Sensex. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 57.23% as against Sensex's 16.27% rise.

National Aluminium Company (Nalco)'s net profit rose 8.35% to Rs 642.35 crore on 1.19% decline in total income to Rs 7338.56 crore in the year ended 31 March 2014 (FY 2014) over the year ended 31 March 2013).
