National Aluminium Company fell 1.21% to Rs 36.85 at 9:47 IST on BSE after net profit fell 33.78% to Rs 226.14 crore on 10.31% decline in total income to Rs 1,941.11 crore in Q2 September 2015 over Q2 September 2014.
The result was announced on Thursday, 12 November 2015.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 223.73 points, or 0.86%, to 25,643.22.
On BSE, so far 23,000 shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 3.11 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 37.25 and a low of Rs 36.45 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 64.30 on 13 November 2014. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 28 on 25 August 2015.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 11 November 2015, falling 4.11% compared with 4.48% decline in the Sensex. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, sliding 2.10% as against Sensex's 7.17% decline.
The large-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 1288.62 crore. Face value per share is Rs 5.
National Aluminium Company (Nalco) is a Navratna CPSE under Ministry of Mines, Government of India. The company has integrated and diversified operations in mining, metal and power. Presently, Government of India holds 80.93% equity of Nalco.
