Turnover on NSE's F&O segment spurts
The Nifty April 2018 futures traded at 10214, at a premium of 29.85 points over the Nifty's spot closing of 10184.15 in the cash market. The Nifty March 2018 futures traded at 10175.60, at a discount of 8.55 points from the Nifty's spot closing in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 11.31 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 9.32 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index gained 53.50 points or 0.53% to settle at 10,184.15
State Bank of India (SBI), Reliance Industries (RIL), ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and Infosys were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. SBI March 2018 futures traded at 253.75, at a premium over spot closing of 253.40. RIL March 2018 futures traded at 900.40, at a premium over closing of 898.30.
ICICI Bank March 2018 futures traded at 283.50, at a premium over spot closing of 283.30. HDFC Bank March 2018 futures traded at 1886.25, at a discount from spot closing of 1894.05. Infosys March 2018 futures traded at 1150.15, at a discount from spot closing of 1152.10.
The March 2018 F&O contracts expire tomorrow, 28 March 2018.
