Nifty August futures trade at small premium

Turnover on NSE's F&O segment slumps

The Nifty August 2017 futures traded at 9,849.70, at a small premium of 12.30 points compared with Nifty's spot closing of 9,837.40 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment fell to Rs 4.61 lakh crore compared with the turnover of Rs 11.47 lakh crore registered on Thursday, 17 August 2017.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 66.75 points or 0.67% to settle at 9,837.40, its lowest closing level since 14 August 2017.

Infosys, BEML, Reliance Capital, Vedanta and Bharat Financial Inclusion were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Infosys August 2017 futures traded at 927.10, at a premium compared with spot closing of 923.15. BEML August 2017 futures traded at 1,892.05, at a premium over closing of 1,885.55.

 

Reliance Capital August 2017 futures traded at 788.15, at a premium over closing of 785.25. Vedanta August 2017 futures traded at 299.30, at a premium over spot closing of 298.40. Bharat Financial Inclusion August 2017 futures traded at 879.80, at a premium over closing of 875.55.

The August 2017 F&O contracts will expire on 31 August 2017.
