Nifty February futures trade at premium

Turnover on NSE's F&O segment jumps

The Nifty February 2018 futures traded at 10,534, at a premium of 35.75 points over spot closing of 10,498.25 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment jumped to Rs 9.44 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 5.89 lakh crore registered in the previous session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index dropped 168.30 points or 1.58% to settle at 10,498.25, its lowest closing level since 3 January 2018.

State Bank of India (SBI), HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries (RIL), Tata Motors and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. SBI February 2018 futures traded at 295.80, at a premium compared with spot closing of 294.60. HDFC Bank February 2018 futures traded at 1,901.95, at a premium to spot closing of 1,898.80.

 

RIL February 2018 futures traded at 895.50, at a premium to spot closing of 893.40. Tata Motors February 2018 futures traded at 375.80, at a premium to spot closing of 375.25. ICICI Bank February 2018 futures traded at 332.60, at a premium over spot closing of 332.

The February 2018 F&O contracts expire on Thursday, 22 February 2018.
