Turnover on NSE's F&O segment drops
The Nifty February 2018 futures traded at 10,442.35, at a discount of 9.95 points from spot closing of 10,452.30 in the cash market, its lowest closing level since 3 January 2018.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment dropped to Rs 6.87 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 14.98 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index lost 93.20 points or 0.88% to settle at 10,452.30.
Punjab National Bank (PNB), State Bank of India (SBI), Fortis Healthcare, ICICI Bank and Jindal Steel & Power were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. PNB February 2018 futures traded at 126.55, at a premium compared with spot closing of 126.10. SBI February 2018 futures traded at 272.10, at a premium compared with spot closing of 271.40.
Fortis Healthcare February 2018 futures traded at 138.10, at a premium compared with spot closing of 137.70. ICICI Bank February 2018 futures traded at 322.50, at a premium over spot closing of 321.80. Jindal Steel & Power February 2018 futures traded at 253, at a premium over spot closing of 252.55.
