Nifty January 2015 futures at steep premium

Turnover rises

Nifty January 2015 futures were at 8275, a premium of 100.90 points over spot closing of 8174.10. Nifty December 2014 futures were at 8173.55, almost near spot closing of 8174.10. The December 2014 derivatives contract expired today, 24 December 2014. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment increased to Rs 566897.54 crore from Rs 517331.08 crore on Tuesday, 23 December 2014.

Reliance Industries January 2015 futures were at 898.25, at a premium over spot closing of 886.

HDFC Bank January 2015 futures were at 960, at a premium over spot closing of 946.50.

Infosys January 2015 futures were at 1957, at a premium over spot closing of 1932.

 

In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty fell 92.90 points or 1.12% to settle at 8,174.10, its lowest closing level since 18 December 2014.

The January 2015 derivatives contract expire on 29 January 2015. The December 2014 derivatives contract expired today, 24 December 2014.
