Turnover on NSE's F&O segment drops
The Nifty January 2018 futures traded at 10916, a premium of 21.30 points over Nifty's spot closing of 10894.70 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment dropped to Rs 7.56 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 16.57 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 77.70 points or 0.72% to settle at 10,894.70, its record closing high.
Jubilant FoodWorks, HDFC Bank, State Bank of India, ICICI Bank and ITC were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Jubilant FoodWorks January 2018 futures traded at 2102, at a premium over spot closing of 2101. HDFC Bank January 2018 futures traded at 1949.25, at a discount from spot closing of 1949.35.
SBI January 2018 futures traded at 309, near spot closing of 308.80. ICICI Bank January 2018 futures traded at 354.55, near spot closing of 354.15. ITC January 2018 futures traded at 273.60, at a discount from spot closing of 274.
