Turnover rises
Nifty July 2014 futures were at 7770.75, near spot closing of 7767.85. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 221201 crore from Rs 171688.15 crore on Monday, 21 July 2014.
Reliance Industries July 2014 futures were at 1030.90, near spot closing of 1030.
Tata Steel July 2014 futures were at 564.50, at a premium over spot closing of 562.50.
Axis Bank July 2014 futures were at 2029.40, at a premium over spot closing of 2022.55.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty jumped 83.65 points or 1.09% to settle at 7,767.85, its highest closing level since 7 July 2014.
The July 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 31 July 2014.
