Nifty July futures trade at small premium

RIL, Bajaj Finance and SBI top traded stock futures in F&O segment.

The Nifty July 2020 futures were at 10,772.50, a premium of 4.45 points as compared with the spot closing at 10,768.05.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment was at Rs 9.87 lakh crore compared with Rs 32.57 lakh crore in the previous session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index lost 45.4 points or 0.42% to 10,768.05.

The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of market's expectation of volatility over the near term, fell 0.38% to 24.8175.

On the options front, the Nifty option chain for 30 July 2020 expiry showed maximum call open interest (OI) of 27.48 lakh at the 11,500 strike price. Maximum put OI of 34.26 lakh contracts was seen at 10,000 strike price.

 

RIL, Bajaj Finance and SBI were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. RIL July 2020 futures were at 1,886.90, compared with spot closing price of 1881. Bajaj Finance July 2020 futures were at 3,292.40 compared with spot closing price of 3303.80. SBI July 2020 futures were at 195.70, compared with spot closing price of 195.35.

The F&O contracts for July will expire on 30 July 2020.
