NSE VIX slipped 2.51% as shares advanced.
The Nifty June 2022 futures closed at 16,630, a premium of 2 points compared with the Nifty's closing of 16,628 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment was Rs 203.37 lakh crore compared with Rs 109.51 lakh crore reported in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 105.25 points or 0.64% to settle at 16,628, snapping a two-day losing run.
The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of market's expectation of volatility over the near term, fell 2.51% to 20.32.
Reliance Industries (RIL), Infosys and Tata Steel were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.
The June 2022 F&O contracts will expire on 30 June 2022.
