Turnover spurts
Nifty May 2014 futures were at 7244, at a premium of 41 points over spot closing of 7203. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment jumped to Rs 436882.26 crore from Rs 171597.27 crore on Thursday, 15 May 2014.
ICICI Bank May 2014 futures were at 1477.25, at a premium over spot closing of 1470.15.
State Bank of India May 2014 futures were at 2417, at a premium over spot closing of 2414.95.
Tata Steel May 2014 futures were at 442.45, at a premium over spot closing of 440.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty jumped 79.85 points or 1.12% to settle at 7,203, a record closing high.
The May 2014 derivatives contracts expire on 29 May 2014.
