Turnover on NSE's F&O segment rise
The May 2016 futures on the Nifty 50 index traded at 7882.10, a premium of 11.95 points compared with Nifty's closing of 7870.15 in the cash market. The June 2016 futures traded at 7893, a premium of 22.85 points compared with the spot closing of the index. Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment totaled Rs 2.92 lakh crore, higher than turnover of Rs 2.63 lakh crore registered during the previous trading session.
In the cash market, the Nifty fell 20.60 points or 0.26% to settle at 7,870.15.
Maruti Suzuki India, State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, JSW Steel and Axis Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts on the F&O segment of NSE.
Maruti Suzuki India May 2016 futures traded at 3913.25, at a premium compared with spot closing of 3907.10. State Bank of India May 2016 futures traded at 180.70, at a premium compared with spot closing of 180. Punjab National Bank May 2016 futures traded at 76.55, at a premium compared with spot closing of 76.40.

The May 2016 F&O contracts are set to expire on 26 May 2016. The June 2016 F&O contracts are set to expire on 30 June 2016.
