Turnover on NSE's F&O segment rises
The Nifty May 2018 futures traded at 10,418.50, a discount of 11.85 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 10430.35 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 8.83 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 7.02 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 106.35 points or 1.01% to settle at 10,430.35.
State Bank of India, Tata Steel and Tata Motors were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. State Bank of India May 2018 futures traded at 262.75, at a discount over spot closing price of 263.45. Tata Steel May 2018 futures traded at 542.50, at a premium over spot closing price of 541.25. Tata Motors May 2018 futures traded at 309.70, at a premium over spot closing price of 309.40.
The May 2018 F&O contracts expire on 31 May 2018.
