Turnover on NSE's F&O segment rises
The Nifty May 2018 futures traded at 10,676, a discount of 12.65 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 10688.65 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 7.64 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 7.04 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 83.50 points or 0.79% to settle at 10,688.65.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, State Bank of India and Infosys were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Sun Pharmaceutical Industries May 2018 futures traded at 497.40, at a premium over spot closing price of 497. State Bank of India May 2018 futures traded at 271.50, at a discount over spot closing price of 271.95. Infosys May 2018 futures traded at 1214, at a premium over spot closing price of 1212.10.
The May 2018 F&O contracts expire on Thursday, 31 May 2018.
