Turnover rises
Nifty November 2014 futures were at 8084, a premium of 56.40 points over spot closing of 8027.60. Nifty October 2014 futures were at 8,040.75, a premium of 13.15 points over spot closing of 8027.60. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment advanced to Rs 261215.74 crore from Rs 243715.92 crore on Monday, 27 October 2014.
Ranbaxy Laboratories October 2014 futures were at 636.70, at a premium over spot closing of 633.50.
State Bank of India October 2014 futures were at 2664.15, at a premium compared to spot closing of 2661.
Lupin October 2014 futures were at 936.95, at a premium over spot closing of 933.70.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty rose 35.90 points or 0.45% at 8,027.60, its highest closing level since 22 September 2014.
The October 2014 derivatives contracts expire on Thursday, 30 October 2014.
