Turnover on NSE's F&O segment declines
The Nifty October 2017 futures traded at 10017.85, a premium of 38.15 points over Nifty's spot closing of 9979.70 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 3.59 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 8.61 lakh crore registered yesterday, 5 October 2017.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 91 points or 0.92% to settle at 9,979.70, its highest closing level since 21 September 2017.
Tata Steel, Vedanta, Jubilant Foodworks, Reliance Capital and Bajaj Finance were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Tata Steel October 2017 futures traded at 696.50, at a premium over spot closing of 693.55. Vedanta October 2017 futures traded at 327.75, at a premium over spot closing of 327.30.

The October 2017 F&O contracts expire on 26 October 2017.
